Telephone Counselling

Telephone counselling is a flexible and confidential way to access professional support. It allows you to fit therapy around your schedule without needing to travel or sit in front of a computer. Many people find it easier to open up when speaking by phone, especially when discussing sensitive or emotionally challenging topics. Whether you’re in the UK or abroad, telephone counselling can provide a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

How telephone counselling works

Telephone counselling sessions are conducted from a private office space, and I use headphones for each call to ensure your privacy and confidentiality. Sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly or fortnightly basis, each lasting 60 minutes. I will call you at our agreed start time.

At the beginning of our work together, we’ll identify the goals you’d like to focus on, and these will guide our sessions. Some clients work with me for a short period of 6–8 weeks, while others prefer longer-term support. Regardless of the timeframe, we review progress every six weeks to reflect on developments, update your goals if needed, and ensure the sessions continue to meet your needs.

Who can benefit from telephone counselling

Telephone counselling can help if you are:

– Experiencing anxiety or depression

– Struggling with low self-esteem or confidence

– Restricted by perfectionism

– Navigating life events such as relationship challenges, career transitions, or coping with loss

This flexible form of counselling allows you to access professional support from wherever you are, making it easier to engage consistently and safely.

What to expect in your sessions

During telephone counselling, you can expect:

– Warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental support

– A reflective space to explore challenges

– Practical strategies and guidance for lasting positive change

Even if speaking with a counsellor feels daunting, my approach is designed to make you feel comfortable from the very first call. Together, we’ll work on understanding the difficulties you face and finding ways to move forward at your own pace
