Counselling for the patterns that keep you stuck.
If you’re self-aware, capable and still finding yourself stuck in the same patterns – anxious, self-critical, struggling with how you feel about yourself or your body – you’re in the right place. Many of the people I work with are quietly high-achieving introverts who have tried hard to feel better and can’t quite understand why things aren’t shifting.
Sessions are one hour and cost £55. We can meet weekly or fortnightly, online, by telephone or face to face in Plymouth or Tavistock, whichever works best for you. I’m happy to work on a short or long term basis depending on what you need.
The issues that bring people to me most often are anxiety and low mood, low self-esteem, perfectionism, eating issues and body image. These things rarely exist in isolation and understanding how their root causes connect means you can start making different choices.
However you'd like to work.
Some people know straight away whether they want to meet online or in person, others choose to start one way and adapt as life changes. What matters most is that you feel comfortable.
Counselling tailored to your unique needs.
My experience includes working with people who are finding it hard to manage anxiety, perfectionism, or low self-worth. I also have specialist training in eating disorders and obesity, and can support you in understanding your relationship with food, body image, and self-compassion.

How we work together.
Before we meet for the first time, we’ll have a phone conversation so you can get a sense of how I work and ask any questions you have. It means your first appointment isn’t a cold start.
In that first appointment, we’ll talk about what’s brought you to counselling, why now and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. I’ll also ask about your current situation and wellbeing so I can start to understand the full picture.
As we continue working together we’ll check in regularly on how things are going, what’s been helpful and how you’re feeling about the work. The pace is always led by you.
