Face-to-Face Counselling

If you are looking for face-to-face counselling in Cornwall or Devon, I offer sessions each professional practice rooms in Plymouth and Tavistock. Both locations are centrally located, with disabled access, nearby parking, and good public transport links.

Why choose face-to-face counselling

Starting counselling can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve tried it before without lasting change. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space, where you can take time to reflect, explore your thoughts and emotions, and work towards positive, sustainable change.

Many clients come to me after years of feeling stuck, anxious, or low in mood, sometimes alongside physical health challenges. Major life events—like relationship difficulties, career pressures, or loss—can add to the strain and make it hard to achieve your goals in line with your values.

By combining my counselling training, 15 years’ experience as a career coach, and insights from my own research and therapy practice, I offer a tailored, holistic approach. Together, we will work to help you develop personal strategies and coping skills that support your mental and emotional wellbeing both during our sessions and in your daily life.

Who can benefit?

Face-to-face counselling can help if you are experiencing:

– Anxiety, panic attacks, or constant worry

– Depression, low mood or lack of motivation

– Stress, burnout, or overwhelm

– Relationship challenges or communication difficulties

– Career uncertainty, workplace stress or life transitions

– Coping with loss or major life changes

– Low self-esteem, confidence issues or perfectionism

– Eating difficulties, disordered eating, and body image concerns

How our sessions work

Our first step is an initial assessment, conducted via telephone. This allows us to explore what brings you to counselling, your goals, and any questions you may have. It also gives you the opportunity to assess if I am the right counsellor for you, ensuring you feel comfortable and understood.

If you decide to continue, we will set clear goals and regularly review progress to ensure your counselling remains effective and aligned with your needs. Sessions are one hour long, and you can choose weekly or fortnightly appointments. I offer short-term or ongoing counselling, depending on your preferences and requirements.

Accessibility and convenient locations

My Plymouth and Tavistock practices offer:

– Easy access by car and public transport

– On-site parking

– Fully accessible facilities
