Anxiety is more than worry, it can be exhausting, isolating, and hard to explain to others. Counselling offers a space to understand what’s really going on and find a way through.

Perfectionism often feels like a push toward excellence, but underneath it can be a quiet restriction — a sense that nothing is ever quite right, enough, or safe. For many thoughtful, capable people, perfectionism becomes a way of keeping things in control, avoiding disappointment, or trying to earn safety and belonging. Over time, it can show up as relentless self‑criticism, anxiety, difficulty relaxing, or a feeling of always needing to do more just to be OK.
In counselling, we explore perfectionism not as a flaw to be ‘fixed’, but as a survival strategy that once served a purpose and that now may be holding you back. Together we look at the beliefs, relational patterns, and internal messaging that keep you in that cycle, and gently create space for alternative ways of being that are kinder, more grounded, and more generative.
